MISSION, VISION, AND PRINCIPLES
Community Hospital Health Services Foundation (CHF) is a local voice for health care needs in our community. It provides for primary reproductive health services and, as appropriate, other health services not provided by Community Mercy Health Partners (CMHP).
We envision a future whereby . . .
• CHF is providing state-of-the-art reproductive health services and other niche healthcare technologies, procedures and treatments unable to be performed by Community Mercy Health Partners (CMHP); services are delivered in a way that is convenient and seamless to the customer.
• CHF’s unique role is understood by the community; CHF is respected for its contribution to the success of the combined regional health care delivery system and CMHP’s ability to meet challenges.
• CHF partners successfully with other local organizations to provide an integrated reproductive health system that coordinates all patient and family needs-medical, social, educational and economic.
• CHF protects access to reproductive and other health services by people who are unable to pay.
We are guided by these eight principles:
INNOVATION: We value a flexible structure and creative leadership to address ever-changing and challenging circumstances.
TRUST: We have a high level of confidence in the partnership with Catholic Healthcare Partners (CHP). We value cooperation and collaboration with CHP and Community Mercy Health Partners (CMHP) in an atmosphere of mutual trust.
VIGILANCE: We will stay abreast of new developments in health care and changes in or interpretation of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services; we will be knowledgeable about services delivered by healthcare/health-related organizations in the region.
STEWARDSHIP: Through good governance and good stewardship, we will maintain our independence and the financial capacity of CHF to be able to respond to emerging opportunities or threats.
ACCESS: We value a seamless and accessible system of quality inpatient and outpatient care for all residents of our community, including those who are under- or uninsured, completely integrated with care from CMHP.
PATIENT CHOICE: We value inclusiveness and the patient’s right to choose his/her medical care without constraint.
LOCAL CONTROL: We value local control of the healthcare delivery system in our community.
COLLABORATION: We value strategic partnerships that further Community Hospital Health Services Foundation goals and services.
