UTILIZATION REPORTS

 

 

Community Hospital Health Services Foundation provides sterilizations for men and women and contraceptive injections after a birth in its two-county service area. There are six types of inpatient sterilizations performed:

 

POST PARTUM BPS

Tubal ligation after a vaginal birth

 

HIGH RISK BPS

Tubal ligation as a primary procedure on a female patient deemed to be at risk for complications of surgery

 

HIGH RISK VASECTOMY

Vasectomy as a primary procedure on a male patient deemed to be at risk for complications of surgery

 

FEMALE /SECONDARY PROCEDURE

Tubal ligation in conjunction with another abdominal surgery

 

MALE /SECONDARY PROCEDURE

Vasectomy in conjunction with another abdominal surgery

 

C-SECTION WITH BPS

Tubal ligation in conjunction with a birth by Cesarean Section
